Web-based Software

vBlueprint Illustration System Family Office Services provides advanced plan design capabilities to lawyers, insurance agents, investment advisers, etc. Clients and professional advisers use our service bureau and web-based software for plan design and illustration services. The vBlueprint.com software currently helps licensed advisers produce 20 popular illustrations. The software generates attractive PDFs with pictures (flowcharts and bar charts) for clients, numbers for accountants, and text with dispositive provisions for attorneys. The client-friendly reports are designed to unite advisers around specific plans for funding and managing advanced planning instruments. The reports can provide a valuable tool for attorneys during document drafting. Insurance and investment advisers appreciate how the reports explain the benefits of risk management and asset management strategies.
vTasker Case Tracking System Family Office Services has been using vTasker to track all cases involving multiple advisers. The theory behind this web-based system is that a case will progress smoothly and effectively if the next actions required to move the case forward are accessible to all members of the client's team at all times. This helps all advisers to know what tasks are assigned to them and when each task is to be completed. If an adviser fails to complete a mission-critical project, other advisers can promptly see the problem and offer support. The client is able to access his own personal website and check the Next Action Steps checklist to see who is following through on commitments and who isn't. The client can also see how the adviser is adding value as dozens or hundreds of next actions are completed. The site can be used to store client information in the document libraries. Also, there is a calendar built into each site which can be synchronized with your Outlook calendar. The concept is that if "everyone knows what to do by when" there will be less confusion and finger-pointing amongst advisers if a case goes sideways.

The Zero Tax Planning Institute was a program offered briefly from 2001 to 2011 to equip advisers to replicate the success enjoyed through law firms helping clients leverage estate tax exemptions and/or maximize charitable deductions. We explained the law firms' systems for developing successful seminars, attracting attendees, scheduling meetings with prospects, and engaging new clients. We explained how FOL attorneys added value to clients throughout each stage of the planning process. Because the program was technical in nature and subject to misinterpretation, the resources offered through the Institute are now only offered through Family Office Law LLP and its affiliated entities.

Software resources referenced on this page are currently only available to Attorneys, CFAs, CFPs and other professional advisers working through Family Office Law LLP and its affiliated entities. Materials licensed in the past to outside advisers have been provided for legacy planning, cash flow planning, retirement planning, and portfolio planning but not tax-planning services.

Zero Tax Planning is a simple but powerful concept that integrates well-established non-charitable tools (such as insurance, LLCs, low-interest notes, and irrevocable trusts) with common charitable tools (such as gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, private foundations, pooled income funds, etc.) to help clients reduce taxes while increasing potential benefits for family and favorite charities. Most clients can zero-out estate, gift and GST taxes through the appropriate leveraging of standard estate and gift tax exemptions. Other charitable and business income tax strategies can be used to zero-out taxes on capital gains income and/or the portion of their income not needed for lifestyle expenses. It is not difficult to zero-out taxes simply by giving wealth to charity. Amazing opportunities arise, however, when the tax benefits of statutory charitable tools are combined with the tax benefits of non-charitable instruments described in the Internal Revenue Code. Family Office Law LLP ("FOL") attorneys and their affiliates do not recommend strategies that lack substantial legal authority.
